Brant E. Victor, MD. FACS

Brant E. Victor, M.D., one of eight children, grew up predominantly in South Carolina and California. He graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in Biology and as a scholar athlete. He attended the University of Texas Medical School at Houston, graduating in 1984 with awards including Outstanding Student in Surgery. Dr. Victor completed his surgical internship and residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston in 1991.

Additionally, during residency, he was awarded a national grant as surgical research fellow in gastrointestinal physiology, publishing a number of original articles, book chapters, and presenting at national meetings. Following residency training, he practiced in the Piedmont Triangle area in North Carolina before moving to Austin in 1993.

Dr. Victor's areas of expertise include laparoscopic surgery, endocrine surgery, surgical oncology, breast and colorectal surgery. He is a member of the American Board of Surgery, the Texas Medical Association, Texas Surgical Society, the Travis County Medical Society, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is regularly selected as one of Texas' "Super Doctors" by Texas Monthly Magazine.

Dr. Victor enjoys spending his free time with family and friends and remains actively involved in various sports and outdoor endeavors.
